The Predicament And Countermeasure In Rural Basic Democratic Election In China

Since the reform and opening-up policy, the rural economy has received a further development. At the same time, the basic level democratic construction in rural China has also gained a broader space for its development, social democracy is one of the important goals of the construction and development of our country. Only if the life of the peasants improving, the political reform in China can be completed, which helps to realize the harmonious society. What’s more,the rapid and steady promoting of basic democracy in rural areas is the guarantee for the stable development of society. However, with the further developing, the construction of rural basic democracy that characterized by "villager autonomy" has confronted some difficulties and challenges expect the good results. As the most important content in "villager autonomy",the election of village committee is the starting point and basis for the construction of democracy.This paper devotes to comprehensive and systemic analysis of the current situation of Chinese basic democracy election, based on the case study of rural democratic election in J city C District. From a theoretical point of view and put election in rural democratic as the breakthrough point, the paper discusses the problems and countermeasures of the basic democratic election. Through in-depth study on the rural basic democracy building, from the social culture, policy, democratic participation and so on, and giving a discussion and in-depth analysis of the rural basic democratic election problems, the paper tries to put forward feasible suggestions, improving the villager autonomy, providing some decision reference in order to strengthen the building of grass-roots democracy.The paper can be divided into 5 sections as follows. The first section is introduction. In this section, the paper gives a brief introduction on the basic situation of the topic background, research significance, literature reviews and gives a theoretical-framework on the basic democratic election. The second section introduces the contents of basic democratic election and shows the importance of it. The third section, combined with the case of rural democratic election in J city C District, analysis of the reality of the plight of rural basic democratic election, the part uses diagram method, literature research method, and analyze the problem of existence of phenomenon and influence of rural democratic construction. The forth part gives a deep analysis of problems behind the phenomena are superficial cause analysis and the phenomenon of democratic elections; The fifth part is the center part, based on the above summarized, this part combines the reality of the rural basic democratic construction, the paper puts forward some thoughts and feasible countermeasures to promote democratic elections at the grassroots level in china.
