In the field of achitecture,we have a history of thousands of years of the construction of living environment for the aged in the sanatoria industry,as called nursing home in general understanding. With different appellations in each dynasty,they are the same essentially,as full-welfared endowment institutions. In addition,family values is a very impotant tradition, we have a strong feeling of the relationship between the aged and young,maintenance for the aged,attached to the family. Farther than such background,the economy of our society has engaged in an uncontinuous stage development since the year of modern age beginning,our living modality of the aged peole and our social concept of the elderly life still retain a huge tradition inertia.In modern society, the conditions of human life and medical continue to develop, so the level of human life than ever before, global aging is the current major social problem. In China, special economic construction process and population policies, resulting in the proportion of elderly population expanded rapidly after entering aging society in 2000, starting from the current demographic evolution to the funnel-shaped, the aging population is more than the proportion of the working-age population, pension heavier burden on society, the pension industry will account for a large proportion in the national economy and social resources.In other words, we are ushering aging almost without any experience and proven environmental system, this degree of aging will have a huge impact on the elderly living lifestyle; Moreover, our society needs new policies and new approaches to mobilizing resources to provide basic necessities for the large number of elderly maintenance services, so, this will have a new type of construction to supplement or even replace traditional people familiar family life and pension institutions; Specifically, Beyond the inertia of the pension, there must be a new form of building which can accommodate a large scale and mobilize social forces to provide professional and comprehensive pension services to the community.This thesis is replying to the issues in two directions,First, how far is the implementation of the construction form of the new pension from us,Then,how should we construct this type of buildings for the aged,to discharge the pension responsibilities of the current and forward years as we have excepted.
