The Ideological And Ethical Construction Of Young Civil Servants In China

As the future and the hope of the nation,the young generation is leading the vanguard of social trends.The level of economic and political development of China and culture awareness are largely connected to the ideological and moral standards of young people.Being a special group of young people,ideological and moral quality of young civil servants is directly related to the Communist Party’s ruling and governing capability.Therefore,we must attach great importance to young civil servants,and strengthen their ideological and moral construction.Up to now,ideological and moral construction of young civil servants has made remarkable achievements:they have been generally educated with high political quality,enhanced consciousness of the rule of law as well as putting thoughts into practice.However some problems cannot be ignored,including no firm ideals and beliefs,losing values;one-sided moral consciousness,weak environmental awareness;low sense of social responsibility and services;lack of practical experience,insufficient self-confidence;and decreasing innovation ability,increasing burnout.These are because the weakness of moral education,institutional defects,and negative effects resulting from the economic transition,challenges from the deepening political reform and ideological chaos under the multi-cultural environment.As a result,this paper proposes countermeasures to strengthen ideological and moral construction of young civil servants as follows:to strengthen ideological and moral education;to enhance institutionalization of ideological and moral construction of young civil servants;to optimize the economic,political and culture environments of ideological and moral development of young civil servants.Among them,the ideological and moral education of youth and institutionalization of civil servants are top priorities.During the study,the author believes that young civil servants should respect nature too,so environmental-friendly awareness is also incorporated into their moral consciousness.In summary,this paper,based on the ideological and moral cultivation of young civil servants,elaborates the status quo of the ideological and moral development of this group,points out problems and explores reasons behind them,and then puts forward the countermeasures,with an aim to improve their own ideological and moral qualities and governance capability so as to make more contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream.
