The Review On The Civil Service Examination System In Taiwan

Taiwan shares the same root and blood with Mainland.The civil service examination system of Taiwan inherited the Republic of China’s. It was affected by China’s traditional culture and western civil service system.Therefore,studying Taiwan civil service system has some reference meaning to reform and improve the Chinese mainland’s civil service examination system.However,Mainland scholars who study Taiwan civil service examination system are very few.I explore Taiwan civil service examination system with the "review" approach.I hope my thesis can provide information and help in understanding and studying Taiwan civil service examination system.By literature research,the thesis collected and combed the evolution of Taiwan civil service examination system,defined the relevant concepts,analyzed the basic content of Taiwan civil service examination system including legal basis,basic principles, substantially management authority, test type, basic process, test methods and subjects in detail.Adoptting comparative analysis method, with the eye of dialectical materialism, based on the comparative analysis of Taiwan and the Mainland’s civil service examination system,the thesis summarizes seven characteristics,the advantages and disadvantages of Taiwan civil service examination system.Based on the above review,the author thinks that we must "take the essence and discard the dregs" and learn to "complement each other"in treating Taiwan civil service examination system.Therefore,in the last chapter of the thesis, based on the present situation of mainland civil service examination system,the author put forward the enlightenment on perfecting mainland civil service examination system and the specific operation from Taiwan civil service examination system.Furthermore,the author advices that we should perfect Mainland civil service examination system in terms of the legal system construction, substantially management organization setup, classified examination system, test implementation, supervision mechanism.
