The Investigation Of The Currrent Situation Of The College Students’ Cognition In Taiwan About The "One Country, Two Systems"

The occurrence of the "Taiwan Issue" result in the long-term separation state between Taiwan and mainland of China, and both sides of the Straits have always been searching for the solution of "Taiwan issue". The successful practice of "one country two systems" in Hong Kong and Macao shows that the "one country two systems" is the most effective way of solving the problem of "Taiwan Issue". As the influence of the force of independence of Taiwan and other factors, both sides of the Straits haven’t reached an agreement about carrying out "one country two systems" in Taiwan.The future direction development of both sides of straits depends on the people on both sides of straits. The Taiwan college students who are the elite of Taiwan youth play an important role in the future development of direction, so Taiwan college students are chosen to be the research object of the thesis.Documentary method, questionnaire method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis method and other research methods have been adopted in the thesis,300 Taiwan college have been random picked for sampling in NCHU. To fully understand college students’ opinion about "one country two systems", the research starts from the their understanding of "one country two systems", their opinion about media on both sides of straits, their opinion about the communication between both sides of straits and their opinion about historic culture between both sides of straits. This thesis has done thorough research on the reason why college students do not accept "one country two systems" and offer some solutions for the peaceful reunification of both sides of straits.This research has stated several conclusions:1, most Taiwan college students’ knowledge about "one country two systems" is too partial; 2 part of the Taiwan media hold up the transmission of "one country two systems" among Taiwan college students; 3 The education of "Taiwan Independence" is an important reason why Taiwan college students refuse to accept "one country two systems"For the conclusion of research, the thesis offers some research suggestions:1 Internet should be chosen as the front field for the publicity work for Taiwan college students; 2 Communication activity between both sides of straits shall be strengthened to enhance the positive influence; 3 the comprehensive ability of the mainland of China shall be strengthened to increase the centripetal force from Taiwan college students to mainland of China.The research shows deficiency as for the restriction of the writer, but as far as I’m concerned, peaceful reunification is the trend of history, and it conforms to the benefits and expectation of both sides of straits. The peaceful reunification of both sides of straits seems to be winding now, but the prospect is quite bright. I believe we will find the most suitable solution for "Taiwan issue" and achieve the peaceful reunification of both sides of straits in the near future.
