The Farmers’ Participation Driven By Interest:Change From Mobilization To Autonomy

This article take the road and channel construction of wangdian as an example in way of story to show the change of villagers’ political participation.Though analyzing the political participation of farmers,especially in the suppiy of public goods, we can find that the political participation of farmers has changed a lot.In order to get better understanding of this phenomenon,and to summarize an explain this change accuractely,this article is based on farmers’participation of public goods supply.We’re trying to summarize and explain this kind of change,to know the parctial significant to the villager autonomy.This article use "process-event" analysis to show the attitude and participation mechanism of the villagers in the process of road and channel constructions.Therefore,according to the "cause-development-climax-ending"narrative sequence. We describe the change of villsgers which turns from mobilization participation into autonomous participation.At the same time we use Rational Choice Theory and Professor Xu Yong’s interest-benefit driven theory to help analzing those phenomenon.The author has the opinon that driven by benefit the villager have the willing to participate the process of public goods supply.And benefit connection changes the way of the participation in the process of public goods.Of course,all of the are based one the benefit increase.This article has the background that the autonomy and self-cognitive ability have increased a lot and the government play the game under the logic of market.This background makes the plan that villagers can provide some or all the rural public goods into reality. It is in its own property and living facilities which is closely related to the public good, great changes have taken place in the way of participation of farmers. We can conclusion that driven by interest and benefit the participation of villagers can show us how villagers autonomy works.And in the course of rebuilding autonomy. We should make further analyses and summary of the case which is driven by interest and benefit.
