Interpersonal Communication And Occupation Choice Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

The interpersonal communication is introduced into the analysis framework ofthe new generation of migrant workers occupation selection, and provides a newperspective for better understand the internal causes of social development. This paperreferences the relevant theoretical research at home and abroad in a social networkand method, combined with the characteristics of the new generation of migrantworkers themselves, discusses occupation choice of the new generation of migrantworkers in interpersonal communication in the A area of Shanghai Songjiang exportprocessing zone.This paper adopts empirical research method, questionnaire interview on200fnew generation of migrant workers who have job experience,194validquestionnaires were recovered, the effective rate of the questionnaire was97%. Firstly,integrate of domestic and foreign scholars about the social network from theperspective of sociology. Then based on the statistical investigation, analysis the useof social capital by the new generation of migrant workers themselves, we can seethat the occupation selection is significant influenced by the interpersonalcommunication of the new generation of migrant workers. For the new generationmigrant workers, to mobilize the interpersonal network in the job, these social capitalhave a positive impact on social employment, it mainly reflected in: obtainemployment information, make up the information asymmetry; recommended theemployment employment, save intermediate links; reduce employment cost, solvetheir employment pressure. At the same time, because of limitation of the newgeneration of migrant workers themselves, their relationships tend to have relativelyhigh homogeneity, it also highlights some of the inevitable disadvantage. Theinformation flow in this group are repetitive and redundancy, little help to individuals,so the occupation choice is narrow. The most of flow direction is horizontal flow,rarely able to vertical flow.The new generation of migrant workers employment in society depends on theestablishment of market mechanism, social service guarantee mechanism, the relevantlegal system and the concept of social justice, however, the government and thesociety are not ready to accept them in these areas, so the "relationship" has become an important principle in their economic activities. When relationshipdevelopment to a certain degree, it can cause a series of problems in inevitable, theseprominent phenomena should arouse the attention of the government, and take therelevant measures to ensure the normal operation of the market mechanism, make thesociety develop toward the healthy direction.
