A Study On The New Generation Migrant Workers’ Interests Expression Mechanism

With China’s reform and opening up, industrialization, urbanization and modernization, the new generation of migrant workers has became China’s new labor force. Due to the accelerated differentiation of social interests, on one hand the group made contribution to increase the vitality of the whole society, promote social governance changes, change urban and rural social structure and accelerate the modernization of the country at the same time, on the other hand their interests has suffered varying degrees of damage. The problem of new generation migrant worker’s rights and interests can be attributed to the problems on the expression mechanism of interests. That is the system design for new generation of migrant workers is difficult to meet their demand of expressing interests. In the meantime, severely hampered from In-system and force them to choose the way of non-institutionalized expression. This problem can be concluded from non-institutionalized on national level, the non-community-based organizations and non-body on social level, non-subjective and non-modern. The national response mechanism’s slowly response to the surge demand of new generation migrant workers’rights and interests construct the tension in current social management.This thesis can be divided into four parts. First part is introduction part. Firstly the author elaborated the research background and significance; secondly, comb and induction the domestic and foreign relevant literature; at last, definition and expounded the related concepts and theories in the thesis. It also describe framework and methods. In the second part, the author firstly described the basic situation of survey sample in L county. Then the author described new generation peasant-worker’s rights by combining the questionnaires statistical analysis and interpret interviews text. Through this the author found that their overall rights are in a worrying situation due to the defective in this group’s expression mechanism of interests. The third part is made to explain the expression mechanism of interest for the new generation of migrant workers and its problems. It mainly analysis from interest expression institutionalized and expression of the characteristics of the non-institutionalized. The fourth part is mainly based on the foregoing analysis and summary basis, and accordingly proposed some methods to improve the expression mechanism of the interests of the new generation peasant-workers countermeasure from three aspects:the state, society, and subject. The author wished to systematic and comprehensive improve this group to express interest mechanisms.
