Research On Rural Empty Nesters’ Pension Social Support Of Kazuo County In Chaoyang City

With the boost of China’s one-child policy, the acceleration of aging process and the increase demand for urban migrant workers, the empty-nest families appear and become more in rural area. As a special group of the aging population in rural area, this vulnerable group is facing a heavy burden on labor, lack of daily care, emotional emptiness loneliness and other problems. Although the state has adopted a series of policies to improve the social security system in rural areas, many rural old-age empty nesters have been left for the pension for various reasons. The City of Chaoyang is located in the west of Liaoning Province, where the economic development relatively lag behind and lack of resources, which makes this phenomenon is more widespread. Under this condition, how to improve their living conditions, strengthen the social support to improve their quality of life is a research topic, which is still a lack of adequate research.In this context, the paper selected Kazuo County in the City of Chaoyang as a research location, combined with the actual social support of the rural old-age empty nesters, and learnt from social support of foreign empty nesters, took interviews, questionnaire as survey methods to conduct field researches on Kazuo rural empty nesters in social support of five areas, including material life, common life, medical care, emotional life and belonging. And then the paper uses the SPSS19.0software to organize the data collected by the questionnaire. After using descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and other methods to analyze the data, the thesis mainly discussed the status of rural old-age empty nesters social support and life satisfaction. The result shows in Kazuo County rural area, an empty nester access to low level of social support. From the aspect of function, it mainly reflects the financial support is not enough, the lack of life care, medical facilities, inner loneliness, etc. and for the aspect of the subject, it mainly shows in lack of both personal support and government support for the village. Form the two aspects, the higher level of support empty nesters received, the better quality life they can enjoy, as well as the more satisfaction.As a community leader, the government shall fully play its role in guiding and develop policies and regulations, improve the social old-age security system, increase financial investment, expand the coverage of the pension relief, while exploiting the social forces, strengthening atmosphere to encourage institution-building for volunteer service on different levels. To secure the basic material life, at the same time, the government shall also pay attention to emotional support, so that the spiritual life is enriched up. To sum up, how to improve the quality of life for empty nesters in rural Kazuo County, and to ensure the elderly can enjoy their twilight years, there is still a long way to go for the less developed Kazuo County.
