Cultivation Research For The Young Peasants’ Socialist Concept Of Honor And Disgrace In Western Areas In China

Concept of honor and disgrace is actually held by the society and individuals fora variety of thoughts and behaviors in social life, social phenomenon stance, opinionand attitude, that is, praise and disparagement of praise and criticism and support andopposition, affords a moral evaluation of the universal standard for society andindividuals. In a legal society, although some people violate some aspects of theconcept of honor and disgrace sometimes, which do not constitute a crime and notsubject to legal sanctions, they must be subjected to public condemns and bear muchmental suffering. Therefore, to construct a universal moral evaluation standard, andimprove their ideological and moral qualities and maintain social stability are mutualconnection and promotion. In this era, the universal moral evaluation standard is thecore value system of socialism, the socialist concept of honor and disgrace is the mostimportant part. To develop the socialist concept of honor and disgrace is conducivenot only to the young farmers’ Ideological and moral quality, but also to maintainsocial stability in rural areas and accelerate the building of new socialist countryside.This paper studies the cultivation of the young farmers of socialist concept of honorand disgrace from the following four aspects:First, the paper expounds the concept and features of the concept of honor anddisgrace. The paper makes clear that the concept of honor and disgrace, analyses thespecific connotation of the concept of honor and disgrace and finds out the traditionalbasis for the socialist concept of honor and disgrace. And then we define thecharacteristics of the concept of honor and disgrace, to grasp the connotation of theconcept of honor and disgrace better, and to lay the foundation for the study ofsubsequent papers.Second, we illustrate the content and the development of socialist concept ofhonor and disgrace. First of all,we should make clear that the main content of thesocialist concept of honor and disgrace which also known as the "Eight Honors andEight Disgraces" concept of honor and disgrace. Next, we analysis the developmentof the socialist concept of honor and disgrace, illustrate the relationship of inheritanceand development of socialist concept of honor and disgrace and the traditionalconcept of honor and disgrace. Finally, we analysis the outside of the socialist conceptof honor and disgrace in Western young farmers in social life to make their thoughtsand behaviors changed from the "existing" to "should". Third, we examine the present situation of the young farmers’ concept of honorand disgrace in Western regions. The paper summaries the socialist concept of honorand disgrace as four aspects of life ethics, labor view, personal view and the conceptof justice and benefit, to see abide by the law, love science, work hard andperseveringly, service people, solidarity and honesty and trustworthiness as the maincontent of the socialist concept of honor and disgrace, On this basis, to carry outsurvey work, collate and analysis of data of survey work. In order to investigate theyoung peasants’ concept of honor and shame, in contrast to the specific requirementsof socialist concept of honor and disgrace, analysis problems and reasons of thecurrent western young farmers`concept of honor and disgrace. There are mainlythree aspects: society, family and individual. At the same time, we should payattention to the economical and political factors in society.Fourth, we investigate the targets, principles and ways of cultivation about thesocialist concept of honor and disgrace in western young farmers. Firstly, we shoulddevelop their goals clearly, point out the direction for the cultivation of socialistconcept of honor and disgrace. Secondly, we should put forward to the principles andmethods of cultivation under the guidance of the cultivating goals. The principlesinclude the dominant principle, realistic principle and the principle of development. Inthese three major principles, each has three little principles, which provides aguarantee to develop direction of the socialist concept of honor and disgrace. As forthe ways of cultivating, including that we should see the inculcation education as thefocal point, cultivate the practice as the foothold and create atmosphere as the basis, toestablish the long-term mechanism as the security. Through the four ways of training,they can effectively enhance the western young farmers on the cognitive andemotional identity of socialist concept of honor and disgrace, and resolutely resist theviolation the socialist concept of honor and disgrace requiring thoughts.
