Reseearch On The Government's Role In Establishing Long-effect Mechanism Of The Socialist Concept Of Honor And Disgrace

Chinese society is undergoing its transition from the planned economy to the market economy since the early of 1990s. Followed along with the reform and the open policy, the socialist economy and other social sectors have reached high-speed development. In the meantime, there are a lot of problems of anomie of morality have unfolded in the sphere of spiritual civilization construction. These situations seriously debased standards of social conduct and confuse the standards of morality and the traditional values.In the process of social transformation, the choice of government emphasis on private sphere versus public sphere will make a great impact on the society. And in this circumstance, the government decides to conducts education on socialist concept of honor and disgrace. This dissertation analyzes the key problems concerning civil moralities construction, compares the traditional methods and foreign experience, and comes to the following conclusion:in the field of construction of socialist concept of honor and disgrace, the government has to try to establish long-effect mechanism and ensure their effectiveness.
