The Research Report About The Community Correction In Yongji, Shanxi Province

The implementation of community correction system represents the mainstream oftoday’s international penalty development direction. China began to implement the pilot workof the community correction in2003.So far, the community correction work is generallycarried out throughout the country. The advancing of community correction step by step inour country has important significance on carring out the criminal policy of tempering justicewith mercy, exploring perfect penalty system with Chinese characteristics, reducing the costof judicial and improving the penalty execution efficiency. The study of community correctionsystem has important theoretical and practical value.Yongji in Shanxi Province began to implement community correction system in April2009．As a universal city of community correction system, it accumulated a lot of relatedwork experience in the process of implementation. At the same time it still has a lot ofproblems which exisits in all the cities at the grass-roots level. Based on the research ofYongji community correction work situation, analyzing the related data, this article find outthe problems existing in the work and put forward the related comprehensive measures.This paper will be divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction, the purpose of this study, the review of the researchresults, research methods, the theoretical and practical value of the research.The second part is the Yongji community correction research situation, introducing themechanism of community correction,the object status of community correction and the suveyabout consciousness of community correction.The third part is the main problems of community correction work.Through the analysisof the research situation, this perper found that the main problems in the work is: mismatchbetween organizations, the insufficiency of work force, the weakness in concept ofcommunity correction consciousness, lack of pertinence and innovative in management ofcommunity correction, etc.The forth part is the perfection of the community correction in Yongji,Aiming at theproblems, this part puts forward the improvement of the relevant measures: promoting thecoordination between the parts and enrich the work team, improving staff quality, to expand the propaganda work of community correction from multi-channel, exploring the beneficialmanagement of community correction method, etc.
