The regime of Northern Wei dynasty(A.D.386to A.D.534) which wasestablished by Tuoba Xianbei imitated the system of Wei and Jin dynastyActively, which founded a complete prince’s subordinate system.The system ofthe Eastern Palace in the Northern Wei dynasty is an important part of the princesystem,which has a close relationship with the prince’s conferring. Therefore ithad been making contributions to enhance the strength of the subordinatesystem,improving the ruling ability of the crown prince and consolidating thenational regime based on the inheritance of the system.The subordinate officerswas a very important part of the bureaucratic system,which built another powerentity outside the court.It had the detailed position, the heavy level and the clearresponsibility.To be specific,it could be divided into four systems,which was thetutoring officer system,the retinue officer system,the logistic officer system andthe attached system.Each part cooperates to offer the prince’s lifeservice,cultural education,protection and power regulatory.The system of thesubordinate officers had an effect on the country’s future,so the state attachedgreat importance to the selection of officials.The selection followed a program ofrecommending by the courtiers,appointing by the emperor and nominating by theofficial department.The candidate’s political affiliations,family background,eunuchresume and conduct quality all needed to be screened strictly.The prince’ssubordinates established a monarch-subject relationship with the emperor andcrown prince at the same time,which formed a unique double identitystructure.The prince’s subordinates had a unique way of selection and thespecial promotion channel,which displayed a unique landscape in the NorthernWei dynasty’s politics.As the carrier of culture system,the eastern palace officerssystem in the Northern Wei dynasty which is based on the system of the Hannationality,interlinked the institution of the Wei-Jin dynasty and the Sui-Tangdynasty,made a distinction with the Southern dynasties’ regime and injected the fresh blood to the Chinese civilization.All of these could be enough to prove thatthe minority was not only the Chinese civilization’s learners and receiver,but alsothe guardian and inventor.
