Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11 th Central Committee of the CPC, our country makes more efforts in anti-corruption campaign. Along with many high officials’ going to jail, the corruption among village’s cadres also becomes more critical, especially during the urbanization process, which is even as serious as that of dignitary. As our country is an agricultural country and the population of peasants occupies the largest number, to tackle the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers is to maintain the social stability. However, the corruption among village’s cadres destroys the stability severely, as it hinders the development of rural areas. On the contrary, the construction of a corruption free government in rural areas benefits the anti-corruption campaign. This thesis mainly makes a research of the corruption among village’s cadres and analyzes its characteristics through investigating specific cases under the background of urbanization, aiming to explore the reasons behind this phenomenon and give some suggestions accordingly.First, the thesis provides explanation about the related definitions and theoretical principles, including the definitions of village’ cadre, corruption, the corruption among village’s cadres, while the definition of urbanization and the explanation of the relationship between the development of urbanization and the appearance of corruption among village’s cadres offer the theoretical foundation for later research. In other words, the corruption issue this thesis studies is under the background of urbanization. Secondly, the thesis analyzes the cases specifically and concludes its way of expression, characteristics and damages. At last, the thesis tries to explain the reasons behind this phenomenon, and provide practical suggestions on how to tackle this issue.Corruption can lead to many problems, making the state and society pay a heavy price, challenging citizens’ moral standards, afflicting the economical development and weakening the governments’ authority and respectability among public. Through the research, the author aims to provide some guidance for the anti-corruption combat; the construction of a series of rules on how to resolve this problem, thus paving the way for the establishment of a new socialist countryside, which eventually protects the interests of citizens.
