Happiness is the topic of conversation forever. The science community never stops researching the theory of happiness and there are many variants about happiness. Study on happiness can help people to have a better understanding of happiness and live better.The study of happiness that before Marx’s in western can be summarized into three categories:first of all is Rational view of happiness which emphasizes the human spirit and second is Emotional happiness which emphasizes the emotional, the last one is the Christian theological concept of happiness which emphasizes only to love the God can a person live a happy life.All above make a good foundation for Marx’s view of happiness. Marx learn from all the works and make innovations.Marx’s View of Happiness believes that the real happiness is combine with a natural demand and social needs, Labor and enjoy, materialistic happiness and Spiritual happiness, personal happiness and social happiness, also, human and ecological. It is a scientific view of happiness, it shows that happiness reflects the subjectivity and objectivity, relativity and absoluteness, illusion and reality. It’s significant to make a further study on Marx’s View of Happiness, especially in the connotation and characteristics.The paper aims to make a study on Marx’s view of happiness and find out its contemporary value, based on the study of the books and papers.
