Research On The Trade Union Of Jinhua Textile Mill

The Jinhua textile mill is one of the early modern industries ofShanxi province, it was established in1919by raising funds and gotbankrupt in2009. Now, the Jinhua textile mill becomes theimportant site of modern industries of Shanxi province. The tradeunion of Jinhua textile mill which was under the leadership of theCPC engaged in labor movement before the foundation in the newperiod of China, after the founding in the new period of China, thefunction of trade union has changed correspondingly with thechange of position of the CPC, the workers devoted in the nationaleconomic construction by the laeding of trade union which haspolitical attribute. The sociality, political nature and masscharacter of trade union caused an controversy in the internal ofCPC. In the end, this debate ended up with wrongly criticizing LisanLi which influenced the development of grassroots trade uniondirectly. The function transformation of trade union was changedobviously in private enterprises, although the changes in thegrass-roots state owned enterprises is not obviously, it alsochanged stealthily.After the foundation in the new period of China, the trade unionof Jinhua textile mill started to organize production. Firstly, theproductive enthusiasm was excited by developing labor emulation and Model workers selection, which provided the security ofproduction task performing. Secondly, the trade union perfectedwelfare work and developed relief work in order to improve theliving standard of workers. Thirdly, the trade union organized theSafety and health inspection and developed the relief work forworkers so as to guarantee the safety production. Finally, while thecultural level of workers were improved by developing culture,entertainment and sports activities, the amateur life of workerswere be enriched. But in the process of developing trade unionworking, series problems were also being exposed. Although therelationship between the administration and trade union weremutual assistance and mutual supervision, the assistance wasmore then supervision by trade union. The trade union developedtheir work under the leadership of CPC, it was a propagationassistant of the CPC. but the trade union lost the subjective activitygenerally for our party’s absolute leadership. The trade union lostitself in the historical swirls of excessive emphasizing theproduction function of woekers and began to be divorced from themasses. Therefore, the advantages and disadvantages of tradeunion working of Jinhua textile mill in this paper can provide someenlightenment to the trade union working of the state-ownedenterprises of the time in order to make the trade union to be acommunicational approach between the CPC and masses anddevelop the political nature, sociality and mass nature coordinately.
