The Study On The Ideology Of Unification Of German Of Marx And Engles

In the middle of the 19 th century, Germany achieved the reunification of the country,which was not only in conformity with the fundamental interests of the German nation, but also created conditions for the future rise of Germany. Marx and Engels attached great importance to the reunification of Germany while they paid close attention to the social revolution. The study on Marx and Engels’ ideas of German reunification not only helps to our further understanding of Marxist ideology, but also has important significance to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At present, the works about Marx and Engels’ ideas of German reunification is less in our country. Therefore, this paper tries to draw these main ideas chiefly from collecting Marx and Engels’ original documents, and puts forward the enlightenment to our country combined with the concrete practice of China.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part mainly expounds the background of German unification thought of Marx and Engels, while the growth of European bourgeois in the middle of the 19 th century, the rapidly expanding economy and the big development of the national consciousness are the times background, and sharpened European national conflicts and contradictions between the disruption reality and desire of the unity are the ethnic background. In addition, Marx and Engels’ s great love for their motherland and a series of practice of patriotism are personal background.The second part mainly sets forth the basic content of Marx and Engels’ ideas of German reunification. Firstly it elaborates the elaboration of Marx and Engels about unified historical conditions, including the necessity to achieve the unity(economically necessary),the possibility to achieve the unity(a developed economy, strong military power, ethnically homogeneous, Bismarck’s important role).Secondly it expounds the purpose of the unity, which means the requirement of establishing a "unified, indivisible Democratic Republic", which also contains the proposition of Marx and Engels about the size of German scheme and the relationship between central and local government and the claim of the political system. Thirdly it states the unified strategy, which means Marx and Engels’ s unified strategy changed from revolutions to the recognition of dynasty war, and the statement of the process of the unity, which in this part mainly describes the basic attitude of Marx and Engels towards the Danish war, Austro-Prussian War and Franco-Prussian War. And following is about symbol of unity, which is Marx and Engels’ views on the establishment of the customs union and "the common country common compulsory education law", finally, it is the meaning of establishment of a unity country, in which Marx and Engels believes the reunification is not only able to promote rapid economic development, to break the traditional European political situation, to achieve national rising, and also created the prerequisite for international cooperation. The third part mainly puts forward three revelations combined with the concrete practice of our country. The first one is against the federal government and improving centralization, the second one is to remove the trade barriers and implementing free trade, and the last one is to popularize the compulsory education and realize human development.
