Research On College Students’ Social Public Welfare Practice: The Existing Problems And Measures To Solve Them

College students’ social public welfare activities are those various social services which college students participate in as volunteers. They are not only an important part of social public welfare activities but also the important way of college students’ self-promotion. Therefore, college students’ social public welfare practice is of great significance both to social development and to college students’ own growth. However, college students’ social public welfare practice in our country faces many difficulties, for instance, the negative impact of western ideas on college students,the influence of traditional education thought,low stage of social and economic development,the specialization of public welfare organizations, lack of guidance in the family education.These factors largely hinder the development of college students’ social public welfare activities in our country. Meanwhile, the development of social public welfare practice in colleges is a complex and systematic issue, so we need to strengthen the advocacy and guidance of public service ethics, create a good social environment and an atmosphere of good faith for social public welfare activities, and give full play to the roles of college, teachers, students, and families. Application of these measures can promote development of social public welfare practice in colleges.This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter gives an account of the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad, research ideas, research methods and innovation points. The second one focuses on the concept of,characteristics of and basis for the existence of college students’ social public welfare.The third chapter, mainly through a questionnaire survey data analysis,discusses the current situation of college students’ social public welfare practice, the existing problems and their reasons.The fourth one proposes the way to further the development of college students’ social public welfare practice, which should be joint efforts of society, colleges, students themselves and families in the development of college students social welfare practice.
