Arendt’s way of thinking and her writings not only are unique and unequalled, but also can keep pace with the development of times. Arendt is extremely sensitive to any political phenomenon because of her unusual experience in life. The political crisis of Arendt’s time made her think about how to get rid of the current dilemma all the time, and then think about a challenging problem called the creation of public domain. Arendt’s Public Domain Theory is of special significance and value even in today’s society.Arendt believes that public domain is a place that allows the general public to show their distinctive capabilities and to replace or to get the key to the truth, which is different from society and community. Liberty, immutability, publicity, diversity, ensuring are the five features of Public domain. Because of the development of society, the crisis in the field o f political and cultural and the destruction from totalitarianism have increased, the Public Domain Theory is on the decline for the Institutional of rule replaced unified power, the negative action of voters replaced the positive action, flatter replaced the equality, happiness replaced the freedom and the economic activities replaced the political activity. Arendt considers to rebuild a period of public domain similar with the healthy development of ancient Greek, the society at least do the following: 1. Strengthen the public awareness and popular education. 2. C ultivate the quality of tolerance and promise. 3. Build a freedom and equality committee system.Although Arendt’s Public Domain Theory’s limitation concludes the nothingness, indifference and contradiction, it still further improved the theory of public domain and provided solid basis for political legitimacy of the theory from the legal level.
