Objective To investigate the status, health needs, community health management of elderly people living alone in Fuzhou, then analyze the problems, and find the reasons of health management, finally provide a reference for healthy pension works of elderly people who living alone in Fuzhou.Methods Simple random sampling method was used for extracting each community health service center from five boroughs in Fuzhou, the five community health service centers was regarded as a survey. Simple random sampling method was used to extract 296 elderly people living alone, 362 empty nesters people, 328 elderly people living with children as the survey from the five community health service centers. Extended questionnaires for the 986 elder communities, the contents of questionnaires include elder basic situation, health status and related factors, social support of elderly people living along, community health management needs and utilize, and satisfaction, etc. The original database was build by Epi Data3.1 software. As for the collected data, SPSS19.0 software was used for their analysis. The contents included general descriptive statistics, chi-square test, analysis of variance, rank sum test, multiple linear regression analysis method, etc.Results 1, The three elderly people had statistically significant difference in gender, age, education, occupation, health care, and revenue. 2, Elderly people living alone had high rates of limited in daily activities and self-care, multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, daily life help, financial support had a statistically significant influence on the daily behavior of elderly living alone. Elderly people living alone also had a high rate of two week prevalence; Ordinal regression analysis showed that it had a relative with age, marital status, education level. The incidence of anxiety or depression of elderly people living alone was 17.9%, their psychological health was aworrying situation.3, Elderly people living alone had less access of social support, which mainly acquired from their children. 4, Elderly people living alone were accepted a same health management service with general elders. 5, Elderly people living alone had a greater demand for health management, especially in general practitioner on-site service, telephone health advice and guidance, etc. Health management of elderly people living alone overall utilization was 77%, which has a low utilization in general practitioner on-site service, personalized health guidance programs, health tracking survey and return visit. 6, 85% of elderly people living alone expressed a general satisfaction of community health management services, but there were still 8% of elderly people living alone were dissatisfied with the services.Discussion 1, The basic situation of elderly people living alone showed a difference with general elders, and should be treated as a special class of group.2, Elderly people living alone had high rates of daily activities limited and two week prevalence, and psychological health was under a worrying situation, what is more, they acquired less access of social support, thus, they should be received more attention on health management services. 3, Elderly people living alone had a greater demand for health management, but the utilization of health management program was low. It should be treated according to their characteristics demand.
