The patriotism education is the etern al theme of Ideological and political education. Comparison of Ideological and poli tical education is a new subject; China began pioneering research in the Last century 90’s. The patriotism education is not only the important content of ideological and polit ical education of the Chinese but also one of the America civic educations content. The Chinese Patriotism education has m ade great achievements, but also has s ome shortcomings. Current academ ic research on Chinese patriotism education and Am erican’s with com parison has not been fully researched, deepen. This paper is com parative to contemporary Chin ese patriotism education between American’ s. By the comparative Study on Chinese patriotism education and American’s, China should go ahead to carry forward the innovation of Chinese patriotic education, and learn from the positive factors, and guard agains t the negative factors. This paper is of theoreti cal and practical significance to im prove and enrich the Chinese patriotism education. This paper has certain innovation in method, with subjects of ideological and political educationThis paper mainly uses comparative research method, literature research Method, historical materialism dialectics, fielding investigation and study.This paper has two innova tions: one is the innovatio n of research m ethod. The author wrote this paper to expand the Chinese patriotism education. The author has been lived in America for three y ears. Two is the content innovation, with a new perspective USA patriotism education to China enlightenment.This thesis consists of the following parts:The introduction part for reflection a nd reassessment of Chinese patriotic education and American’s, development, review of researching, presents situation and the insufficiency, for further study of their patriotism education to make full and helpful groundwork, and goes ahead to innovate, a nd riches our patriotism education information. Then this chap ter elaborates the value an d significance of current patriotism education between China and Unite d States. The f inal statement of this chapter emphasizes the main focus of this research and thinking.This second chapter studies the connotation of patriotism education and theoretical basis of Marxist classical writers’ views about patriotism.The third chapter dis cusses the characteristics, the m ain way of patriotism education and effectiveness. Then the ch apter discusses the m ain way, contemporary patriotism education of China. This first way is Family education is a start point。The second way is the main channel of social education. The last way is a lot of ways which is the anti-Japanese history and providing disaster relief and visiting the red b ase patriotic education,and the m ass media which is a new position of publicity. This chapter summarizes the characteristics of patriotism education in China with politicization, historicity, traditionary. This chapter discusses the achievements and shortcomings of Chinese patriotism education in contemporary.The fourth chapter su mmarizes the charac teristics of political, historical, and traditional from Chinese patrio tism education. This paper discusses th e achievements and shortcomings of Chinese patrio tism education, including volunteering 、ritual education、the media influence、civilian procession、cultivation of national character with vainglory. At the same time this chapter discusses contemporary American patriotism education which has the characteristics of the times, religious.The fifth chapter sum marized the sim ilarities and dif ferences between Chinese patriotism education and American’s, from the important content, from the patriotism education to the ideological and political educ ation with a history of rational education, with the social public cultu re facilities. T wo countries face the challenges of globalization.The two countries have the di fference of emphasis guiding ideology, and of the main theme, and of m elody and so on. This chapter discusses the achievem ents and shortcomings of American patriotism education in contemporary.In the sixth chapter, Based Chinese patrio tism education, starting from the social practical problems, the author thinks a question that how to learn from America patriotism education, and to foster streng ths and circumvent weaknesses, by analyzing the difference of current patriotism education between China and United States. This chapter discusses the USA patriotism education to China inspiration from the positive and negative aspects. China should alert its negative factors, namely, and oppose hegemonism and cannot cultiv ate the nationa l pride. Chin a should learn from USA outstanding elements of patriotism education, with strengthening national self-respect and self-confidence, patriotic education and technology com bined with voluntary service,strengthening; patriotism and personal interests Unified, and playing the role of religion on education in patriotism. This is the focus and innovation. T he author from their own experience and knowledge, from the reality, advocates the establishment of a fairer and just society, and discusses how to expand and innovation of conte mporary China patriotism education.
