There has been a long history that Chinese people moved to Vietnam. Overseas Chinese in Vietnam has been a huge influential group, who has made outstanding contributions to the development and construction of modern society in Vietnam. Since the normalization of Sino-Vietnamese relations in the 1990 s, the Vietnamese government has changed its overseas Chinese policies to attract a large number of new Chinese immigrants. Overseas Chinese have been an important link between Sino-Vietnamese relations.Since the normalization of Sino-Vietnamese relations, though bilateral relations have witnessed rapid development, large-scale anti-Chinese incidents in Vietnam have done great harm to the Chinese community in Vietnam. There have been different scales of anti-Chinese riots in Vietnam history. However, the anti-Chinese incidents in recent years have different characteristics, including non-nationalization of the membership and the diversity of the source of threat of the anti-Chinese incidents. The anti-Chinese incidents are the results of many unstable factors, including the conflict of the south China sea, the nationalism and prominent domestic social issues in Vietnam, etc.Confronted these anti-Chinese incidents in Vietnam, the Chinese government and company should do something to protect the safety and legitimate rights of overseas Chinese in Vietnam, for example, promoting the cooperation in the development of the south China sea, generating and improving the company risk management mechanism.
