Construction Between Overseas Chinese In Malaysia And Chinese Soft Power:Path, Effect And Strategy

In recent years, as the comprehensive national strength increasing, China actively participates in international affairs and takes international responsibilities to show the image of a big country.Chinese soft power is enhanced. In order to benefit most countries in Asian and Europe, Chairman Xi Jinping put forward the strategic concept “New Silk Road Economic Zone”and “the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road ”.There is no doubt that Southeast Asia will be an important part. Malaysia,as a big country in Southeast Asia,has a good relationship with China in a long history.Especially in the new century,the political,the economic and the cultural communication with China are more and more closely.Overseas Chinese in Malaysia have the common culture and the same blood with Chinese people,they can play an important role in improving Chinese soft power.The article selects Malaysia as the research sample to analyze the different effect in Chinese soft power of Chinese media, Chinese education Chinese community in Malaysia.Malaysia’s Chinese media report on the objective facts, and eliminate misunderstanding and prejudice, spread China’s development achievements to shape China’s international image, Malaysia’s Chinese education is vital in inheriting Chinese culture, preserving Chinese identity,disseminating Chinese culture and promoting exchanges and cooperation with local society.Malaysia’s Chinese community is essential in the promotion of China’s development modelAlthough the Overseas Chinese in Malaysia will face many difficulties in constructing Chinese soft power,such as geopolitics,racial politics and cognitive biases,they still have a brilliant future.We believe that we can make a progress from the following aspects,including:Create a favorable international environment through directional diplomacy;Create a harmonious domestic circumstance through “Harmonious Oversea Chinese Community”;Innovate the cultural connotation and mode of transmission;Strengthen the systematicness,pertience and innovativeness of Overseas Chinese Affairs.
