In recent years, our country the village affairs and democratic management has been rapid development throughout the country, and has made gratifying achievements, at the same time, we also need to be aware of the specific practice of village affairs in rural areas there are still many issues of concern.This paper selects the Jiangsu province Zhangjiagang city as a case study of village affairs, the literature research and case studies combined, from the research of village affairs, promoting the process, existing problems, countermeasures and development trend in the future and so on, through the analysis of practice on Zhangjiagang online village, summarizes some main problems shown in practice, from the laws and regulations, the leadership system, the performing organization, ideology and other aspects of a comprehensive analysis of the problem of deep-seated reasons, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures. Aimed at the background of building new socialist countryside, the village affairs and democratic management is constantly advancing, and strive for the future development of village affairs, to explore a truly effective way.This paper believes that, in order to promote the further development of China’s village affairs and democratic management and perfect, should from the macro and micro two aspects at the same time. In the macroscopic aspect, we should start from the perfect laws and regulations, adhere to the village affairs in conjunction with the villager autonomy, strengthen the system construction, perfect the system of village affairs and democratic management of all aspects to improve villagers’ autonomy level. In the micro aspect, one is to strengthen the leadership, improve the leadership system; the two is to build a three-dimensional monitoring network, strengthening supervision and supervision and inspection; the three is to make use of modern science and technology, promote the village affairs information; four is to develop the rural education, improve the consciousness and ability of political participation of farmers.
