The Comparative Analysis Of Interdependent Relationship Between South Korea-china And South Korea-united States

The development of globalization makes countries increasingly close together, relations between countries shows the characteristics of complex interdependence. The order and degree of problem areas are gradually weakened, it’s difficult for countries to apply military means to obtain the initiative on other issues. Contrary, the role of non-traditional factors such as economic means are rising, it’s bound to affect the development of its economy a country if a country start the war to take advantage, so the possibility of large-scale war appears be to a minimum.The development trend between South Korea-China and South Korea-United States shows the characteristics of complex interdependence. In recent years, the development of relations between China and South Korea receive increasing attention. Economic complementary establishes the basis for development of bilateral relations, with the rapid development of China’s economy and comprehensive national strength, South Korea shows more and more characteristic of the dependence to China. At present, China has become the biggest trading partner, the largest export market, and the largest investment destination of South Korea. The active economic cooperation drives development of relationship between South Korea and China in other areas,the political、security and humanity trust are gradually increased, the construction of a strategic partnership opened a new chapter of the development of China and South Korea.At present, the development history of South Korea- United States alliance has last 60 years. As a country with special meaning, the United States plays an important role at various development stages of South Korea. Especially the existence of the South Korea-United States military alliance has provided the safeguard for South Korea’s national security interests. Growing tensions in recent years, due to the situation on the Korean peninsula, North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile development work gradually into the open, South Korea’s national security is greatly threatened, strengthening the South Korea-United States military alliance has become the top priority for South Korea. And for United States, the United States- South Korea military alliance is helpful for the Asia-pacific affairs and suppressing the development of China.There is a structural contradiction between China and United States, China’s peaceful development has been a threat for United States and it sets up many obstacles in the process of the development of China. Therefore, how to balance the two superpower status has become a big problem in front of South Korea. That is a breakthrough point of this paper to analyze the foreign strategic choice of South Korea.This article writing framework is as follows:The first chapter expounds the theoretical framework of this article, namely interdependence theory. We can reach the uppermost theory: interdependence theory which is obtained through the theoretical analysis of the interdependence theory in this paper. Links between countries are becoming more and more diversified, force no longer plays a major role in the national relationship, the role of military power declines, there is no clear hierarchical distinguish between questions.The second chapter analyzes the formation and development of the interdependent between China and South Korea. Since the establishment of diplomatic between China and South Korea,the cooperation in economic areas is closely tied, the narrow domestic market, shortage of resources and other factors make export-oriented trade become the first choice for South Korea, so South Korea relies heavily on the Chinese market. The active exchanges of economic also deepen the cooperation of other areas. Especially since the administration of Park Geun-hye, the cooperation is deepened for South Korea and China in economic, political, security and humanity areas, which further consolidate the foundation of strategic partnership of China and South Korea.The third chapter analyzes the formation and development of interdependent between United States and South Korea. Due to the long-term safety protection for South Korea, South Korea-United States alliance has become the foundation of diplomacy for South Korea, and United States need United States- South Korea alliance plays a role in the strategy of returning to the Asia-pacific.The fourth chapter analyzes the differences of the interdependent between China-South Korea and United States- South Korea and the development trend in the future. The development of China-South Korea reflect the rule that economic cooperation can expand to other areas,which belongs to extending from junior politics to senior politics. The South Korea-United States relations reflect the rule that senior politics can expand to junior politics. For the development strategy of a country, the role of the safety factor is more important than economic factor, so in the future South Korea-United States alliance will still be the cornerstone of South Korea’s diplomacy, South Korea will deepen the strategic partnership of cooperation with China on the basic of South Korea-United States alliance, the relation of South Korea- China is difficult to break in the structural limits of the South Korea-United States alliance.
