A Research On The Influence Factors Of Residents’ Participation Of "Village-To-Community" In Chengdu

With the development of urbanization in China, there are more and more communities, which are called "Village-to-Community". The development of "Village-to-Community" governance has a direct impact on constructing the Social Governance System. However, the lack of residents’ participation has hindered the development of "Village-to-Community" which will impede constructing the Social Governance System. Considering of the character of "Village-to-Community", which is both as urban community and rural community, the research on the factors that influence residents’ participation in these communities is of great significance, and only then can we put forward corresponding strategy and advice to improve residents’ enthusiasm, and promote the development of "Village-to-Community"Firstly, the author classifies "Village-to-Community" as the definition, the character, the factor based on the literature reading. Combining with domestic and foreign literatures, the author analyzes the definition, the character and the factor of "Village-to-Community", the concept and present situation of Community Governance in "Village-to-Community", the concept and scope of Residents’ Participation in "Village-to-Community"Secondly, this paper analyzes the factors that influence residents’ participation through the survey on the spot and interview of residents, staff of neighborhood committees and local governments. Finally, the paper puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of different subjects in order to promote the development of "Village-to-Community" in Chengdu.
