Sichuan Shifang’s Hongda Molybdenum Copper Project Group Events Handling Case Study

After the reform and opening up, China’s economy has developed by leaps and bounds. Economic developing mode with cost of environment is unhealthy and unstable for our country’s economy developing. On the contrary, damaging environment will seriously damage people’s living environment and health. Now people’s environmental awareness is more and more strong. When the destruction of the living environment concerns of people is not solved timely, it’s easy to break large-scale mass incidents. It’s a great threat for social stability. The typical examples include Shifang mass incidents, Jiangsu Qidong group events and so on.In this thesis, Shifang molybdenum copper group event is researched in-depth.This thesis analyzes the causes of the mass incidents, and studies the government’s,the people’s, the companies’ and the media’s responsibility in dealing with the group event problems. Then this thesis explores the group event crisis manner and contents of communication, putting forward a series of policies and measures to prevent and resolve environmental group events similarly. Its main contents are:1. Research Shifang molybdenum copper project group event’s reasons,procedures and effects.
