Regional ethnic autonomy is a basic political system of our country, is under the unified leadership of the minority in the country, in order to establish the basis of ethnic communities in the national autonomous areas, the establishment of autonomous agencies, the exercise of self-government rights of peoples to achieve the masters manage a political form of the nation’s internal affairs. Since 1947 the establishment of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has proved that the regional ethnic autonomy system in ethnic country where implemented, we made a series of achievements and accumulated rich experience, continue to implement the system of regional ethnic autonomy provided the conditions for the new period. The advantages of regional ethnic autonomy have been fully reflected in the ethnic minority areas.As a kind of national and ethnic autonomous areas most provinces, a total of 54 ethnic groups in Yunnan Province, more than 5,000 people in the population and there is a certain minority neighborhoods of 25. including 16 ethnic groups across the border,15 ethnic groups in Yunnan peculiar province, is the country’s most unique ethnic provinces. Yunnan minority population of widely distributed, accounting for 3/4 of the area of the province, where two-thirds live in the territory and along the mountainous border. Yunnan is a microcosm of the big family of the motherland, multi-ethnic, but also a microcosm of the frontier of the motherland multi-ethnic region, therefore, Yunnan ethnic problems in the country typical and representative. This will be the development of practice Yunnan ethnic regional autonomy system for angle, field of vision as a frontier governance research, summed up the practice of regional ethnic autonomy system in Yunnan, and analyzes the achievements made in practice and accumulated experience It discusses the challenges facing the new era of regional ethnic autonomy system, and put forward their views to further uphold and improve the system of regional ethnic autonomy. Conducive to regional ethnic autonomy system in China has developed smoothly and more perfect, more conducive to people of all nationalities to get more benefits, in order to achieve the goal of building a harmonious society of social justice soil.
