China’s political, economic, cultural and other aspects have been greatly developed since the reform and opening up, and China’s overall strength has been continuously improved. Along with the rise of China, the South Korea will focus on China. On the one hand, the South Korea hopes to be able to take the China’s economic express and seek the win-win cooperation under the background of the rise of China; on the other hand, the South Korea shows some vigilance on the rise of China. Therefore, this paper is based on the study of cognitive analysis of South Koreans to the China’s rise, it will analyze the development of relation between China and the South Korea from the perspective of the South Koreans. First of all, this paper expounds the connotation, the performance and the influence of the rise of China, analyzes the definition of the rise of China, points out the basis of the rise of China, enumerates the performance of the rise of China from the four aspects of international image, economic development, cultural influence and military significance, and analyzes the surrounding countries in response to the rise of China. Secondly, this paper investigates the South Korean’s cognition of the rise of China from the four angles of the national image, economy, military and culture. In terms of national image, mainly to understand the impressions of the South Koreans on the China’s political and social impression; for the Chinese prosperous economy, the South Koreans regard it as a threat; on the other hand, they think that the quality of the Chinese economic development is low; for the rise of China’s military, the South Koreans shows a certain ambivalence, although they regard the rise of China’s military as a threat, at the same time, they also think they should deepen military cooperation with China; for the rise of the Chinese culture, the South Koreans show greater enthusiasm to China’s traditional culture, but keep a wary eye on the Chinese culture into South Korea. Finally, this paper analyzes the impact of the cognition of the South Koreans to the relationship between China and the South Korea. In this paper, from the angle of the positive cognition and reverse the cognitive it analyzes the various influences of people’s cognition on diplomacy, it studies the development of the relation between China and the South Korea combining with cognition of the South Koreans. At present, China and the South Korea continue to advance in politics, near but not close; in economic field, as the free trade agreement between China and the South Korea becoming effective, the economic exchanges between the two countries to be closer and closer, but it emerges the trade protectionism in the South Korea. In the private exchanges, in general, China and the South Korea civil exchanges have become increasingly frequent, but some unexpected incidents easily lead to a decline in the friendly degree between the two countries. In the field of security, the South Koreans think reunification of the Korean Peninsula is inseparable from China, and they also want China to play a more active role in promoting the process of the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. In the process of the rise of China, we should pay attention to psychological cognition of the South Koreans, adjust the foreign policy to the South Korea, constantly raise the positive cognition of the South Koreans to China, reduce their defense against China, and constantly guide the South Koreans to the cognition of the rise of China toward the direction of the positive development.
