The subject and the object of the ideological and political education are the basic elements of the activity. And the conditions of the relationship between them are related to the activities and affect their effects. Therefore, Therefore, researching on the subject-object relations in ideological and political education, recognizing the substance of the relationship, analyzing the problems, and giving some principles and paths to optimize it, is great significant to the further theoretical research of the relationship and the heightened effect of the activities. The body of this thesis consists of three chapters as follow:In the first chapter, we discuss the connotations and the definitive properties of the subject and the object of the ideological and political education, as same as the essence and the formation of their relationship. What we call as the subject of the ideological and political education are people who take others as the object of the education activity, and exert controllable influence on them under the requirements of a certain social or class purposefully, designedly and organizationally. In other words, it is the ideological and political educators. The definitive property of the subject consists of class character, leading character and subjectivity. What we call as the object of the activity are people who are action objects of the ideological and political education, which is a subjective practice, namely the educatee of the ideological and political education. The definitive properties of the object consist of passivity, proactivity and plasticity. The essence of the relationship is a target relation. The fundamental relation between the subject and the object is the opposite-unity relation. And the specific relationship between the subject and the object includes democracy-quality relation, bilateral interaction relation and dominance-initiative relation.The second chapter mainly analyzes both the existing problems of the subject-object relationship in ideological and political education and their reasons. The democracy-quality relation between the subject and the object of ideological and political education needs to be strengthened currently, the bilateral interaction and dominance-initiative relation between them is insufficient. There are the reasons which lead to the problems: the own factors of the subject and the object are the internal factors, and the factors of the copula and the environment of the activity are the external factors.The third chapter mainly discusses the optimization of the subject-object relationship of the ideological and political education. The optimization of the subject-object relationship in the ideological and political education is the activities that solve the problems between the subject and the object of the ideological and political education. To optimize the relationship between the subject and the object is to improve the quality of the subjects of the ideological and political education, guide the objects to strengthen the cultivation of their own comprehensive quality, enrich and update the educational contents, use the educational methods scientifically, and optimize the environments in order to create a good atmosphere for the subject-object relationship, in accordance with the people-oriented, dominant and integrated principles.
