Communications is a brand-new discipline. Since its founding and establishment, it has had great impact on various relevant disciplines and even on the human existence with its vitality, precedence, predominance, practicality and other academic characteristics. This is especially the case of today.The development of communications and its growth in influence have made it possible both for the ideological and political education(IPE) to relate itself with communicative activities and for the principles of communications to be employed in the studies of IPE. It has become a new field of study, therefore, to examine IPE from the perspective of communications and to apply theories of communications to the practice of IPE. This paper attempts to make a discussion in this field from four aspects.First of all, this paper tries study IPE as a kind of communicative activities from the perspective of communications. From its basic constructive factors and its process of behavior, the process of IPE is not only a process of teaching activities but also a process of communicative activities in disseminating information.Secondly, through an analysis of (the) subject and (the) object in IPE communicative activities and after studies o the subject-object relationship, this paper aims to point out, from the viewpoint of communications, that the subject-object relationship in IPE communicative activities is dynamic, dual-structural and very special.Thirdly, this paper tries point out that the subject-object relationship in the communicative process of IPE is embodied in every educational process and it interacts with all kinds of mass media and communicative means, which shows that it is a kind of dynamic and two-way communication. Communicative activities ofIPE fall into two types. In one of them, the information disseminator cognizes the communication and guides the information recipient in his self-constriction of a cognitive structure. In the other of them, the information disseminator and recipient carry on an emotional interaction between them.This paper finally concludes that, in the light of the principles of communications, in order to realize the optimum disposition of every key element in the communicative activities of IPE an in order to reach the best result of communications, it is absolutely necessary to establish unimpeded feedback mechanisms, to satisfy the common needs of both the disseminator and the recipient, to optimize their personal qualities, to give full play to their subjectivity in the communicative activities of IPE, to update communication media and to employ relative communicative skills and methods flexibly.
