With the rapid development of our country’s socialist market economy, the rhythm of people’s work and life becomes faster and faster and thus fiercer occupation stress has increasingly become a prominent problem. Civil Servants as a professional group is no exception, especially with China’s social transformation, strengthening of administrative accountability system and the coming of the risk society, civil servants career has increasingly become a high-risk profession. Especially after the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we have further improved the social supervision mechanism, income and welfare of civil servants is more open and transparent. However, in the adjustment period, the system of official business activities still needs some time to form a complete and perfect set.Although supervision has been enhanced and income, welfare system and resources has become further clear, the system and resources of engaging in business activities has not been further distinguished, the civil servant group is facing the social adjustment and occupational stress, ant their physical and mental health are of concern. However, for a long time,influenced by ideology, traditional concept, social environment and the nature of work, civil servants career pressure problems are not under the attention it deserves, and it desperately needs further research.Observing Civil servants in Guangzhou as samples, this paper uses the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey research. Research has found that civil servants career pressure were mainly from three aspects--- leaders, work, and civil servants’ self-evaluation of their work satisfaction in leaders’ mind. Further research shows that: before the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, according to the size of explanatory power, the rank of the influencing factors of civil servants career pressure is the responsibility of the work itself, civil servants’ self-evaluation of their work satisfaction in leaders’ mind and the leaders pressure. After the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the new rank is civil servants’ self-evaluation of their work satisfaction in leaders’ mind, the responsibility of the work itself and their leaders’ leading style.In addition, from the perspective of social population, this paper further explores the degree of occupational stress of different groups of civil servants, differences in stress coping styles and social support. In terms of occupational stress level, gender, age, culture level, job grade and whether there is a religious tendency have significant effects on civil servants career pressure; In terms of civil servants career stress coping styles, gender, age, culture level,religious beliefs in different stress coping styles reflect significant differences; In terms ofsocial support, gender, age, culture level, and religious belief have significant effects on civil servants pressure.
