Analysis Of The Standard Of Moral Examples Since The Foundation Of Our State

Moral models, as the personification of social morality, whose thoughts and behaviors represent the value orientation of social mainstream, and reflect the view of life, world and value which the society requires. And socialist moral models are the perfect practitioners of the socialist moral which have a core idea of serving people, a standard of collectivism, a basic requirement of loving our motherland, loving people, loving working, loving science, and loving socialism, and the key focus of public morality, professional ethics, and family virtues. Moral models carry certain social values, guide and inspire generations of Chinese to eventually form self-worth concept, moral character and behavioral pattern by internalizing their spiritual merits. In every stage of the growth, new China has emerged many moral examples, shining with distinct features of time and spirit of moral models.Times are changing, socialist morality is constantly changing and so is the standard, image and characteristics of the moral models. On the National Conference on Propaganda Work, Xi jinping has clearly pointed out the propaganda and ideological work should plan, practice and accomplish with the trend, and should, at the same time, strengthen the Construction of Socialist Core Value System, actively cultivate and practice the socialist core values, comprehensively improve the citizens’ morality, and promote the integrity of knowing honor and disgrace, stressing healthy, making dedication, and promoting harmonious. This expression also reveals that we should seek truth from facts, advance with The Times, and excavate deep into the spirit connotation in the process of selecting and setting the moral models.This paper attempts to compare the moral models appearing between 1949 and 1979 with the ones after the reform and opening up, analyzing the selection standard and interpreting the spirit connotation in the different period. By analyzing the different era environment, political, moral standards and performance standards, I am intended to grasp the evolutional characteristics of moral standards to sum up experience and draw the lesson, which has a great theoretical and practical significance on deepening of Marxist ethics, promoting socialist outlook on life, world, values and moral, improving the ideological and moral qualities of the whole nation, advancing the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
