As an emerging interconnectivity communication platform, the rapid development of microblog and We Chat make the network new medium for the spread of public opinion and a gathering place of ideology and culture. It promoted the people-police relationship management opened a new era of positive interaction between the real society and virtual society in micro policing. The new media bring in great convenience to people, however, it brings new challenges to the people-police relationship in micro policing at the same time.Although different public security departments have carried out lots of beneficial exploration on micro policing problem, but on the whole, the micro policing research is still in the early stage. Police forces differ on the restriction of economic development. Thus, there hasn’t formed a set of mature, theoretical system which is suitable for China’s national conditions with Chinese characteristics, or any micro police operation pattern. At the same time, the people-police relationship presents new characteristics on the development of micro policing. How to summarize experiences of dealing with the people-police relationship during the practicing of micro policing, to guide the further development of people-police relationship in micro policing, worth calm thinking and careful analysis. This study is to dissect the sparrow for providing reference, trying to analysis and summarize the new problems and new challenges appearing in people-police relationship while practicing, with the combination of current development of people-police relationship in micro policing in recent years. Thus to put forward effective coping strategies to improve and perfect the level and efficiency of the operation of micro policing, then to put forward feasible solutions on harmonious and healthy development of people-police relationship in micro policing.Using related theories such as public management, public policy, and micro policing, through methods of comparative analysis and field investigation, this paper take Wenzhou police as an example to explore the main problems lies in the people-police relationship in micro policing under the background of new media. The paper firstly come up with the background and significance of the topic selection, the research contents and methods, as well as the literature review, and then summarizes the theoretical basis of this article, through the questionnaire survey and analysis of empirical research on the people-police relationship status quo in Wenzhou micro policing, finally to put forward countermeasures to improve, so as to provide a reference basis for the creation of harmonious development mode of the people-police relationship in the operation of micro policing under the background of new media.The innovation of this paper lies in the discovery of problems and difficulties such as questioned by the masses for the actual effect of micro-platform, the police image influenced by the online crisis, the unorganized challenge against the police authority, and sense of equality lead to the weakness in response, which influenced the people-police relationship in practicing micro police combing investigation. Also the exploration of micro policing has obtained certain achievements, but is still not adapt to the fast pace of society development. only the public security organs at all levels continuously innovation and improvement, micro policing work will have new development, and the people-police relationship in micro policing will have new luminescent spot, thus to a more stable and harmonious social security order.
