Children’s organizational symbols are symbolic sign system which is used to characterize the spiritual connotation of the children’s organization. Leaders of the children’s organization have always attaching great importance of designing and using organizational symbols. Taking the organizational symbols as the starting point, the study makes a historical investigation on children’s organizational symbols and their educational status in China in the combination of history and logic. On the basis of reviewing the history, the study refines and demonstrates the theory on educational function of children’s organizational symbols, so as to explore how they reflect the essence of organization education and find the way to realize its educational function. Therefore, this study focuses on three problems. The first is the evolution process of children’s organizational symbols and their educational status in China. The second is the main content of the educational function of children’s organizational symbols. The last is the strategy on how to realize the educational function of children’s organizational symbols nowadays.Through analyzing documents, narrating the historical evolution process, comparing the studies, this paper historically sorts and compares the symbols of Boy Scouts and Children’s Corps in China’s modern times, and the contemporary Young Pioneers and Scouts in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions and their educational status according to the line of history. This study puts forward three key educational functions of children’s organizational symbols, which includes the oriented function of organizational concepts about cognitive status and code of practice, the incentive function of sense of honor and responsibility for children’s organization and the evaluation function of knowledge skills and comprehensive abilities for children.Combining history and the reality, the study analyzes how children’s organizational symbols play educational role in terms of exact principles, conditions and approaches and puts forward a practical and effective way to play this role from aspects of design concept, practical activities, self-couscious supports and environmental affection. In a word, maximizing the educational function of children’s organizational symbols not only needs to enrich the theoretical system of educational function of organizational symbols, but also apply several organizational pathways to make educational function of children’s organizational symbols seem that "life-giving spring breeze and rain salutary influence of education".
