Research On The Educational Function Of Patriotism Education Bases

Patriotism education bases are valuable resource for patriotic education. As of2011November, the Central Propaganda Department has been announced356national patriotism education demonstration bases, at the same time, local governments established a large number of Patriotism education bases at different levels.The education functions of Patriotism education bases mainly include insisting on the belief of constructing Chinese characteristics socialism construction, enhancing visitors’ sense of identity to the history and pride to the nationality, enhancing visitors’ sense of responsibility and mission to actively join in the Chinese modernization career. In recent years, Patriotism education bases have made great achievements, but the educational function of Patriotism education bases education still need to be excavated in order to play more important role.Currently, Patriotism education bases expose problems, for example: the phenomena of construction attaching great importance to quantity and belittle quality is still exist, the phenomena of the utilization attaching great importance to modality and belittle content is needed to be improved, the function of patriotism education bases is limited and so on.There are four reasons for these problems:First, the patriotism education base management mechanism is not perfect and the funds for construction is not enough; second, the patriotism base did not build itself well; thirdly, the educator and educatee did not avail itself of the base; fourthly, education evaluation system is imperfect.In response to these matters the paper proposes the following countermeasures:first of all, to strengthen patriotic education bases, including infrastructure’s construction, construction of the management system, website’s construction and the connotational construction; second, to encourage the educator and educatee effectively make use of bases, including requirement of educators’practical teaching,improved teaching, training educatee’s correctly cognition of bases, training educatee knows how to consciously practical learning; thirdly, to establish the evaluation system and improve it for the bases, specifically speaking, the evaluation system should adhere to the oriented, objective, comprehensive principles, develop quantitative and qualitative standards, carry out diversified evaluation mode.
