As an important part of China’s economy, Private enterprises have made asignificant contribution to China’s economic and social development. Privateenterprises accounted for more than92%in43million enterprises, bear91.8%of the779million employed population. With the growth of private enterprise, we also see itthat private enterprise staff turnover is too high and they are in short of talents. Howto attract and retain talents becomes a problem in front of many private enterprises.According to a report of Hewitt issued in April2007, the primary factors that driveemployee engagement is not salary but development of the career opportunities,therefore, as the development of the career opportunities becomes the primary factorsthat drive employee engagement. It becomes very meaningful of Focusing onemployee’s career development, providing with learning resources, motivatingemployees to learn. For a long time, companies,or private enterprises have also takensome measures to motivate employees to learn, such as providing trainingopportunities, taking material incentives to encourage employees to obtain therelevant qualifications, but all of these are limited to scattered incentives,affect theincentive effect.This study focuses on incentive mechanism of the employee continue learning inprivate enterprise, and use motivation theories as the theoretical basis, the usequestionnaires and interviews to investigate the condition of the incentive mechanismof employees continuing learning in large and medium-sized private enterprises, topresent it and find the existing problems, finally improve and try to build incentives.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part mainly introduces the background of the study, the relevant concepts,research contents and methods. The second part is a review of the literature relevant tothe study, including the research of the incentive mechanism of continuing learning inforeign and domestic. The third part is the theoretical basis of the study, mainlyintroduces the content theory of motivation and process incentive theory to lay thegroundwork for the paper. The fourth part is to use questionnaires and interviews toinvestigate the condition of the incentive mechanism of employees continuinglearning in large and medium-sized private enterprises, and make a summary. Part Vis to improve and try to build incentives for continuing learning, including measuresfrom outside and build mainly analysis element and principles of incentives, incentiveprograms of continuing learning, and finally design the incentive mechanisms.
