The Study On Application Of Project Management In Higher Occupation Skill Contest

The theory of project management first started in American in the1940s and wasintroduced to China in the1960s. The theroy subject based on overall planningmethod which was spread by Hua luogeng. By the1990s, the theory of projectmanagement has been widely used in China in various areas, such as networktechnology, aerospace engineering, telecom project, government as well as healthsystem and so on. The occupation skill contest was formally organized since2008,which influence higher vocational education’s course construction, teacher’s teachingdirection and student’s comprehensive quality especially practical ability’simprovement. Occupation skill contest is a systemative and complicated project.There are many disadvantages in current higher education management organization,which urgently need advanced management concept and skills. Occupation skillcontest has the project’s character, which is very suitable on it.On the theoretical basis of principle and method of project management, thisstudy takes full consideration in the characteristics of management in currentvocational skill contest, and systematically argues for the necessity and feasibility ofthe theory of project management. The management of vocational skills competitionis to take various measures to achieve the optimization with limited resources. Thestudy focused on analysis of problems in quality, funds, human resource, andschedule management, then, put forward some suggestions for improvement.In this research, the related theory of project management was applied in theprocess of managing the occupation skill contest, which enrich the theory research ofcurrent occupation skills contest in Higher Vocational Education. It’s a greatInnovation and development for the theoretical research on the management of skillcontest.
