With the background of digital learning era, the traditional teaching mode could not meetthe requirements of times. People’s ways of life, work and study have undergone tremendouschanges with the “micro-culture” presented by micro blog. Particularly, the application ofmicro-lecture based on modern educational technology courses further promotes the reform anddevelopment of education, which is highly valued as a consequence. In terms of informationtechnology course in primary schools, both the web-based learning and the capacity of teachersfavor the development and application of micro-lecture. In turn, micro-lecture is of greatapplication value to the transformation of traditional learning methods of informationtechnology, as well as the learning effects. The purpose of this study is mainly to design anddevelop its learning resources, to form its learning pattern, to enhance students’ interest andtheir learning effects and to cultivate students’ problem-solving ability.The connotation of the term micro-lecture on information technology in primary schools isclarified through literature reference: micro-lecture is a form of self-directed learning based onthe main learning activity of micro-video (a5-8minute video on a certain topic), which meetsthe pupils’ learning requires to information technology and the teaching aims of this course.Based on the pattern analysis on the existing micro-lecture design, its course design module isproposed and from the module framework, sections including topic selection, teaching processdesign and micro-video producing are elaborated. On the basis of its design, the analysis of itsmain application modes on course instruction is put forward, as well as the application modes of“theme activity-learning based on micro-lecture of information technology in primary schools”by combining the discipline characteristics of information technology.With the design and application of micro-lecture, its values are proved on the promotion ofteachers’ course development and self-learning abilities, as well as students’ effective learningabout information technology. Besides, micro-lecture design should focus on the integration ofreal classroom teaching and the establishment of complete teaching service to support thedynamic generation of teaching resources.
