Functions Of Moral Education Of College Students Voluntary Service And Its Implementation

Voluntary service refers to the volunteers，according to their own wishes，can usetheir own knowledge,skills，physical agility and wealth to engage in activities，not for thepurpose of getting paid，but to improve the efficiency of the public affairs and to promotethe social public utilities.College students’ voluntary service refers to the serviceprovided by the volunteers who have college students’ identity，with the characteristics ofvoluntary，pragmatic，educational，compatibility，coordination and so on. Now in ourcountry college students’ voluntary service，from the aspects of mechanism，materialguarantee and efficiency of activities，are not very mature，which seriously restricts thedevelopment of the college students voluntary service. At present college students’voluntary activities not only have educational significance for their own， but also helpfoster the depth and breadth of service culture，improve the efficiency of moral educationof college students，which should be encouraged.Moral function refers to the influence and effects of moral activities to individualsor society. Moral function of college students’ voluntary service refers to the functionsthat can further strengthen and improve ideological and political education for collegestudents， during the process of combining theory and practice to make voluntary service.Individual function of moral education of college students’ voluntary service refers to theinfluence and effects of moral activities to individuals’ physical and mentaldevelopment， which mainly includes the function of moral formation， the function ofintelligence development and the function of aesthetic pleasure. Social function of moraleducation of college students’ voluntary service refers to the influence and effects ofmoral activities to social development， which mainly includes the educational function，the service function and the communication function. Now the implementation of moral education function of college students’ voluntaryservice is not well. The paper recommends the following ways to enhance the efficiencyof moral education function of college students’ voluntary service： one is to improvesocial reorganization， two is to increase government support， three is to strengthen themanagement of moral education in colleges， four is to enhance the degree of familyeducation， five is to broaden the scope of organization construction， six is to reinforcethe party members’ exemplary role.
