The content of primary school mathematics curriculum is treated as the maincarrier of primary mathematics teaching.The content of the primary mathematicscurriculum as a important means to achieve primary mathematics teaching goals,thechoice and arrangement of content and scientific knowledge system largelydetermines the quality of mathematics teaching in primary schools, as well as affectthe quality of future talent. Therefore, the focus of primary school mathematicscurriculum reform on previous international mathematics education reform.Weexamine the contents of today’s primary school mathematics curriculum,and achievedcertain results in reform, while also there are some issues need to be addressed. Froma historical perspective on our own primary mathematics curriculum developmentprocess systematically combing, can provide material for the study of elementarymathematics education, while providing the appropriate reference for elementaryschool mathematics curriculum reform in the21st century.This research planed to study the problem: Which experience and enlightenmentcan we learn from the change of the Chinese primary school mathematics curriculumcontent since1949? This problem is decomposed into three sub-problems: Whichcharacteristics do the developments and changes of the capacity about Chineseprimary school mathematics curriculum content since1949? Which characteristics dothe developments and changes do the developments and changes of structure aboutChinese primary school mathematics curriculum content since1949? Whichenlightenment can we learn from developments and changes from the Chineseprimary school mathematics curriculum content since1949for the presentmathematics curriculum reform? Answers of these three sub-problems are conclusionsof this dissertation.Literature method, comparison method and text analytic method,are mainly adopted to study and discuss problems.This dissertation takes the development and evolution of content of mathematicssyllabus (curriculum standards) as main line. the dissertation analyzes capacity and structure of capacity and structure of primary school mathematics curriculum fromfour aspects of4areas of knowledge,9blocks of knowledge,21unit of knowledgeand corresponding points of knowledge. characteristics of content of mathematicscurriculum development are summarized as follows:The change of content knowledge of primary school mathematics curriculum isnot obvious, the overall maintain stable state. The structure of primary schoolmathematics curriculum gradually tend to spiral, and pay more attention to adapt thedevelopment of children’s cognitive structure. Select more and more real-lifeknowledge into primary mathematics content.Based on the study mentioned above, this dissertation puts forward thefollowing suggestions for the present mathematics curriculum reform in China. Theprimary mathematics curriculum content should be determined trough seekingdynamic equilibrium in the "stable" and" development".Choose primary mathematicscurriculum content should focus on close contact with real life.The structure ofelementary school mathematics curriculum should be adapted to should handle therelationship between students’ cognitive level and structure of mathematicallogic,rational use of "linear" and "spiral style "...
