With the effect of globalization, college students’ ideology and conceptconfronted with the intensive impacts, their concept of value,belief of politics and aimof morality have been changed. Then some problems occur and need to be solvedimmediately. University is the forefront of network development. At present, thecollege students are the largest groups who use the internet. They have more choiceson information and ways of acquiring it, and they are influenced by the huge,complex and diversity of network information. Under the influence, the groupcharacteristics and personality needs of college students are more obvious. In a world,economic globalization, the popularization of higher education and the networkinformation age brings along a totally new education environment. As a result,colleges face new challenges in the ideological and political education."CPC Central Committee and State Council on Further Strengthening andImproving Ideological and Political Education" pointed out that the ideological andpolitical education should " emancipate the mind, seek truth from facts and advancewith the times, adhere to the people-oriented, close to reality, close to life, close to thestudents, to improve the pertinence, effectiveness and attractiveness, appeal ofideological and political education". In order to achieve the people-oriented,education must proceed from students’ actual situation, teach students in accordancewith their aptitude and teach students according to their sex. At present, part of theideological and political educators ignore the gender differences of college students,the lack to the attention to gender differences between male and female students. Tosome extent, the effect of college education in ideology and political is beingweakened, it is not favorable to the comprehensive and healthy development of thecollege students’ mental-physical. As its name implies, the education of gender differences is an education modethat according to the special development of physiological and psychological of menand women. Up to now, research on gender differences are mostly limited to thetheoretical level or the pure female education etc. This paper tries to apply the conceptof gender differences in education to the ideological and political education work, thisis not just the innovation of ideas and methods of the ideological and politicaleducation, also to appropriate for the demand that strength the humanistic care andpsychological counseling of the undergraduate education.This article is divided into five parts.The foreword part mainly introduces the purpose and the significance of researchthe issue of gender differences in the process of ideological and politicaleducation,and the research status at home and abroad on gender differences, as well asresearch methods and innovation of this article.The first part of the body mainly introduces the current definition of genderdifferences of the domestic and foreign experts and scholars, further studies theconnotation and denotation of gender differences on the basis of this, presents newinsights on gender differences, and introduces the theoretical basis of research ongender differences. It provides a solid theoretical basis for sexual teaching.The second part, through the questionnaire survey of college students, mastersthe first-hand information about feasibility and effectiveness of carrying on sexualteaching in ideological and political education of university, and analyzes the sexdifferences between men and women from the ideological and political theory,psychological health, campus culture and so on.The third part introduces the existing problems through the investigation aboutthe gender differences in ideological and political education of university, and analyzethe cause from individual physiological factor and social environment factors such asschool, family and so on.The fourth part, for the results of the survey and analysis of the reasons, putsforward the forms and methods of sexual teaching to enhance teachers’ genderawareness, change teaching idea, improve the students’ psychological health education, optimize the development of campus culture and so on, and the methods ofthe education of gender differences are refined and improved.The fifth part mainly summarizes the contents of this article, describes researchresults, points out the innovation and the existing shortcomings, and proposes theresearch direction in the future.
