In recent years, marginal students group who separates from the main students of college become numerous with the tendency of the Popularized Higher Education. They are ignored or emitted by teachers and classmates for some weak factors. Meanwhile, the fact of being emitted lead to the inequity compared to the main students in sharing educational resources and getting the loving care from teachers and classmates. The emergence of the college marginal students is the result of many factors which include inside factors and outside factors working together. If we can’t educate and guide these students timely and effectively, it will be detrimental to the college students’ healthy growth and the improvement of the overall quality, it will also be detrimental to the construction of harmonious society and campus. The study will gauge the college marginal students’situation, problems, and causes in system with the integrated use of questionnaires, interviews and other research methods. Meanwhile, the study will give some suggestions for colleges in how to educate and guide these students, and I believe the study has some reference for ideological and political education work.The article is divided into an introduction and four parts of body.The introduction of the article mainly analyzes the background and significance of the study. At the same time, the study teases out and comments on the documents and materials at home and abroad, which is about college marginal students, at the last part of the introduction, the study sets forth the research purpose and methods.The first part of the main body is the theoretical explanation of college marginal students group. The main purpose of this part is to interpret the concept of college marginal students’ group, which is based on the analysis of the concept of marginalization and marginal groups in sociology. In order to make the definition more clearly, the study also compared the concept of college marginal students’group with college disadvantaged group, informal group, difficult group and other pertinent concepts. And then, the study expounds the major character of this group.The second part of the main body expounds the behavioral expression, consequences and reason of college marginal students’group. This part sums up the performance of the marginal students in study, psychological quality, practical activity and human communication. Then, the study analyzes the reason for marginalization of college students from the points of school, family, society and the college marginal students themselves. It also expounds the consequences of the marginalization.The third part of the main body tidies up the theoretical principles on how to educate and guide the marginal students, which are connected with the study. After expounding the education meanings, the study especially introduces Marxist Theory of People’s Overall Development, Care Theory, and Maslow’s Level Theory of Needs, which are the basics of this study.The forth part of the main body proposes the countermeasures for educational guidance from the perspective of ideological and political education. This part expounds the measures for educating and guiding the marginal students from the aspects of emotion care, psychological counseling, the optimization of supervisor modes and cultivation method, family-school interaction and participating practice and so on.
