On The Research Of The Counselors Professionalism Construction Of Cangzhou Normal University

College counselor is the important component among teachers, the mainstay of moral education and ideological and political education in colleges, and the conductor to guide the healthy development of students. They are also an important part of teachers, the backbones of carrying out ideological and political education to the college students. Nowadays, with the development of higher education, there are many problems in counselors’stability, professional, appointment management system, standards of training and the development of space. These problems are not benefit to the development of counselors, nor the development of ideological and political work. So, it is imminent to promote the professionalization of college counselors.This study used the theory of human resource management, occupation career theory, and motivation theory, selected the Cangzhou Normal University as a case, the counselor team construction as the research object, took literature method and investigation method, based on the two major groups of teachers and students conducted a questionnaire survey and individual interview, to accurately describe the situation of this university’s counselor team. It summed up the main problems in the counselor team from their work status, specialization, structure, selection mechanism and security system. These problems including the instability of counselors, professional level is not high, irrational structure, the selection mechanism is not scientific, and security system is not perfect etc..This study put forward to some strategies to realize the College counselors’ professionalism construction based on the professionalism construction experience of the university’s student affairs administrators in America, UK, and Hong Kong, combined with the presence of the main problems of the Cangzhou Normal University. These strategies including the establishment of instructor occupation admittance system, improve the supporting system, and optimize the management system, and expand the training ways. The study for the rich ideological and political education management theory, Counselors provide theoretical and practical guidance has certain reference significance.
