Based on the review of the concept,theoretical models,measurement tools,development and research of emotional intelligence and professional well-being,use the Emotional Intelligence Scale and Middle School Teachers’ Occupational Well-being Questionnaire to measure the level of middle school teachers’ emotional intelligence, professional well-being and the relationship between them.The267teachers are from Tianjin,Hubei and Shanxi province.The results show that:(1)Gender differences in the test found that female teachers’ occupational wellbeing are remarkably higher than the male teachers’.(2)In the test of teaching level junior school teachers’ occupational wellbeing are remarkably higher than the senior school teachers’.(3)There is no significant difference in the factors of being head teachers or not. Except job attraction, the latter’s mark is remarkably higher than the former.(4)Teachers’ occupational wellbeing declines along with the teaching years increase.(5)Though teachers have different educational levels, their emotional intelligence and occupational wellbeing don’t differ remarkably.(6)Teachers who have higher emotional intelligence will help improve their occupational wellbeing.
