With the2003college student volunteers in the western China program and the2005teaching in rural areas, supporting agriculture, medical and anti-poverty planimplemented, greatly encouraged the college students using summer vacation insocial practice for volunteer teaching. While the development of college studentvolunteer teaching has been growing by leaps and bounds, volunteer teaching alsogradually become one of the main forms of the current college students volunteerservice. A growing number of student associations,social public welfare institutionshave launched short-term volunteer teaching program, they organized college studentsto spend rest time or summer vacation to carry out volunteer teaching activities. Atpresent, Short-term volunteer teaching is a more extensive type of volunteer teaching,which college students have participated in, and it has become an important way forcollege students to return our society. However, at the same time, the lack of serviceconsciousness, action and volunteer training do not reach the designated position, alsoaffect college students’ short-term teaching, and more college students themselveshamper the ability to exercise and improve. The current research on college students’short-term volunteer teaching is less. Therefore, to strengthen the research ofshort-term volunteer teaching in training college students, not only has theoreticalvalue, more with strong practical significance.This article attempts to start from the practice of training in short-term volunteerteaching. Use the experience of related theory and existing research to design trainingmodel which is dual goal oriented both volunteers and volunteer organizations. Thendesign the training courses and training support strategies. In particular, the study canbe divided into the following several parts:First of all, the college student volunteers, volunteer training and short-termvolunteer teaching can be understood in reading the related literature from primaryresearch content to the current research status. This article has summarized the foreigncollege students volunteer training which is worthy of learning and the current mainproblems of college students volunteer service. It summarizes the meaning of the’college students teaching ability of short-term volunteer teaching.Secondly, based on several case studies, this paper summarizes the successfultraining design strategies of short-term college students volunteer teaching throughmultiple dimensions, combining with instructional design, adult learning theory andcorrelation model, using the task analysis, the method of building based on short-termteaching process of college students volunteer training design model, adult learningtheory and other theory and models, using the method of task analysis, builds trainingdesign model based on process for the college students’ short-term volunteer teaching.It designs and develops college students’ training courses and atfer training support strategies, combing with the required resources, builds training structure model whichis based on the content for short-term college students volunteer leaching.Again, the training design model in this articlc is applied to the experimentaltraining program, from training requirements analysis to the evaluation of trainingeffect to verify the practicability and the extension of the model. It summarizes thesituation of practical application.Finally, this paper summarizes the achievements in the study. Moreover, iLpresents the problems in the study and make some suggestions for the development oftraining.
