The Influence Of Volunteer Experience On College Students' Employment Ability

In recent years,college student volunteer has become an important force in the youth volunteer service,bringing more and more attention to the academic circle.Previous studies have show n that voluntary service has a certain role in promoting college students' employment ability.This study has distinguished college students' employment ability structure to the ability to work in order to obtain and maintain the ability to work,using qualitative research method,selecting 17 college volunteers(including 13 undergraduate students and four is the employment of college students)to do in-depth interviews,trying to explore volunteer experience's influence on college students' employment ability mainly reflected in which aspects.The conclusions of this study are as follows:Volunteer service experience to a certain extent,affects the college students to obtain the abilit y to work,mainly in four aspects: affect college students' career orientation;help college students the interviews;train the basic skills for new jobs;get replicable experience.Volunteer service experience to a certain extent,affects the ability of college students keeping work,mainly embodied in five aspects: the accumulated contacts continue to work at work;affect college students' way of thinking;improve students' consciousness of responsibility;improve college students' ability to resist setback;improve college students' work initiative.The author based on employment improving,further recruited college students volunteer suggestions for the development of volunteer service in colleges and universities in the interview.Volunteers think the level of colleges and universities need to do: links to external resources,enhancing university-enterprise cooperation;cultivate long-term,high-quality volunteer service project;make volunteer service project operation mechanism better;let the instructor play a role;perfect social practice evaluation standard;provide professional skills training.the level of volunteers should do: choose what kind of they are really interested in;linked to their majors as far as possible;upright their service motivation;take part in actively;learn to reflect on and summary;participate in volunteer service systematically.
