“Weakening grammar teaching” in Chinese teaching in junior school caused students’lack of grammatical foundation, which not only influences Chinese teaching in senior highschool, but also restricts the development of students’ Chinese competence severely. Therefore,it is urgent to realize the organic linking between grammar teaching of junior high schools andsenior high schools. The essay discusses strategies of linking problems on grammar teaching insenior high schools aiming at providing Chinese teachers some effective strategies to realizegrammar teaching linking so that they can be good at grammar teaching linking to improvestudents’ grammar and enhance their language using competence.First, by comparing the differences of course targets, textbooks and tests betweenjunior high schools and senior high schools and analyzing practical effect of grammarteaching linking on Chinese teaching in senior high schools, the essay illustrates necessityand urgency of grammar teaching linking of junior and senior high schools. Next, on thebasis of the investigation and research, the author analyzes the status of grammar teachingin junior and senior high schools, and reveals its causes from the perspective of coursetargets, textbooks and teachers. According to the status and causes above, finally the essayclarifies the preconditions and fundamental approaches to realize grammar teaching linkingbetween junior and senior high schools and provides some specific strategies on how torealize the linking.
