Piano has always gained the reputation as king of Musical Instruments and it plays an indispensable part in people’s social life, with the growing prosperity of social economy and the continuous improvement of people’s pursuit of material culture, more and more parents begin to let children learn the piano, as a result, children’s piano education starts to gain its popularity.Today, the piano has blend into homes, and becomes one of the most popular instruments in Chinese cities, children’s piano education in Chongqing also ushered in the unprecedented opportunity. However, under this promising situation, Chongqing’s piano education also faces many problems, if these problems not solved in time, it will deviate from the track of quality education and aesthetic education step by step and eventually it will restrict its development.This article is based on interviews and questionnaires with children’s piano training institutions, piano teachers, piano children and their parents. It summarizes the current problems in children piano music education, such as:the unsound piano teaching management system; Too much emphasis on skills; teachers’single piano teaching method and traditional teaching mode; Teaching content, and teaching materials are not systematically connected; Children’s piano level evaluation mechanism is not perfect, etc., In this passage, it puts forward the corresponding solutions to solve these problems.The paper consists of three parts:introduction, body, and conclusion. The first part describes its research background, research significance and research methods:piano education as a part of quality education can enrich people’s spiritual life, and improve people’s comprehensive quality. Children’s learning of the piano will not only cultivate their comprehensive art quality, develops the student rich artistic imagination, but also helps to develop people’s comprehensive quality and shape people’s character. Good development of children’s piano music education will influence children’s quality education and will do well to the development of Chinese piano education.For the three parts of the paper:the first part elaborates the purpose and significance of children’s piano education, and the appearance and development of the Chongqing children’s piano education; The second part of chongqing focuses on children’s present situation on piano education, respectively, they are the teaching form of Chongqing children’s piano education, teachers, management, education object, teaching evaluation, curriculum resource, etc; The third part reviews the Chongqing children’s piano education problems in the education research, putting forward some suggestions and strategies. The last part is conclusion.In writing, the author combined with education, education psychology, music education and other disciplines theory, using the literature research, questionnaire survey method, statistical analysis method, interview method and so on research methods.Research results of this paper will provide some references for the education reform of the education department, the Chongqing children’s piano music education development to promote the whole Chongqing piano music education development as well as provide some certain practical significance and guiding significance.
