As there still be many shortcomings of drama education nowadays, I came up with an idea that reorganize doctoral dissertation, master’s thesis, along with many r esearch papers. The object of my study is "thunderstorm", which is in senior text b ook4, unit4,lesson2. In this drama the writer showed us a family with a comple x dispute. And the conflict between the Lus and the Zhous. Reflect the misery life of women in old society. The "Thunderstorm" also give us clear view of sham, selfish, cruel of the capitalist class. The conflicts,the characters of people and the stage background so very obvious in the drama that this drama can be called the r epresentative of dramas. In the first chapter I mainly talked about the purpose, the meaning, the object of my paper and the previous study about this topic. In the fir st section of the second chapter I introduce the background of writer Cao Yu. Acco rding to the people around him, Cao Yu created the characters in this drama. So I hope the students could get inspiration of writing though Cao Yu’s creating process. In the second section, I summarized the main idea of drama. This drama carries o ut with complex disputes in a Bourgeois Class family. Finally the family went to p erish at a thunder night. In the third chapter I introduced the main characters of th is drama, such as Zhou Puyuan, Zhou Fanji, Zhou Chong, Zhou Ping, Lu Shiping, Lu Dahai, Lu Sifeng, Lu Gui. Their temperature is not only different but also com plex. In the second section, I found out the hidden stage property. They are white rain cloth, the window which is closed anytime, the big photo on the wall. In the first section of the forth chapter Ⅰ mentioned the importance and notice of the reading, and in the second section Ⅰ talked about the manners and the benefits of r ole playing. At last, according to what Ⅰ have mentioned above,I design a teaching plan. I hope what I have written will do a little help to the teachers who teach d ramas in high school.
